You'd work on the API and data layer that processes verification requests. Python, FastAPI, DynamoDB, PostgreSQL, AWS. You'd also work with the ML team to get fraud detection models into production and keep them running.

Key Responsibilities:

Your main focus is designing and building REST APIs and microservices with Python and FastAPI. The platform handles a growing volume of verification requests, so you'd spend real time on database optimization across DynamoDB and PostgreSQL to keep response times low under load.

You'd work directly with the ML team to deploy and serve verification models. You'd handle auth, authorization, and security across services. We use event-driven architecture with message queues (SQS) to keep things decoupled.

We expect good test coverage and documented architecture decisions. You'd lead design discussions when building new services. You'd also monitor production, fix performance bottlenecks, and improve our CI/CD pipelines on AWS.

Requirements:

3+ years experience with Python and REST API development (FastAPI preferred)
Strong knowledge of database design and query optimization (DynamoDB and/or PostgreSQL)
Hands-on experience with AWS services (Lambda, SQS, S3, API Gateway)
Understanding of security best practices (OWASP, encryption, secrets management)
Experience with Docker and container orchestration
Familiarity with message queuing systems (SQS, RabbitMQ, or Kafka)
Experience with monitoring and observability tools (CloudWatch, Datadog, or similar)
Comfortable working alone most of the day. We're async-first.

What We Offer:

$75,000 - $100,000 (based on experience) + performance bonuses
Fully remote, work from anywhere

26 days paid vacation
ThinkPad X1 Carbon laptop provided
Co-working space budget (WeWork or similar)

You'd own our AWS infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring. We serve clients in multiple countries, so uptime and performance matter. You'd work with both backend and ML engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

You'd design and maintain cloud infrastructure on AWS using Terraform and CDK. Everything is version-controlled and reproducible. A big part of the day-to-day is building and optimizing CI/CD pipelines so the team can ship changes quickly, and setting up monitoring and alerting across all services.

You'd manage container orchestration and serverless workloads, choosing the right tool for each job. Security is on you too: automated scanning, patching, compliance. You'd also keep an eye on cloud costs. We'd rather not burn money on idle resources.

Reliability matters for a verification platform, so you'd implement disaster recovery plans and run failover tests. You'd also help developers with local dev environments, automate operational tasks to cut toil, and maintain runbooks and incident response docs.

Requirements:

3+ years experience in DevOps, SRE, or platform engineering roles
Deep hands-on experience with AWS (EC2, Lambda, ECS, RDS, S3, CloudFront)
Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, AWS CDK, or CloudFormation)
Strong experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins)
Solid Linux administration and shell scripting skills
Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (ECS or Kubernetes)
Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools (CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK)
Understanding of network security, VPCs, and IAM best practices

You'd own everything users see and touch in VerifyPDF. The upload flow, the verification results page, the dashboard. React 18, Tailwind, Framer Motion. We're a small team, so there's no one between you and the product.

Key Responsibilities:

You'd make frontend architecture decisions and build features in React 18. Performance and accessibility matter here because our users are in 5 countries on varying connections. Day to day, that means implementing responsive UI components with Tailwind CSS and Framer Motion, and keeping Core Web Vitals in good shape.

A lot of the work is API integration. We have REST endpoints and real-time verification services that feed the UI. Things break when they're slow, so you'd care about that. You'll also write tests with Jest and React Testing Library to keep things stable as the codebase grows.

You'd review code, pair with other devs, and work with design and backend on features. We support 5 languages (i18next), so i18n is a real concern, not an afterthought. We're also building out a component library.

Requirements:

4+ years of professional React experience (hooks, context, performance optimization)
Strong command of modern CSS (Tailwind CSS preferred) and responsive design
Experience with React Router, state management, and REST API integration
Solid understanding of web accessibility (WCAG 2.1) and semantic HTML
Familiarity with build tools, bundling, and frontend CI/CD pipelines
Experience with internationalization (i18next or similar)
Strong eye for design and attention to UI/UX detail
Comfortable working alone most of the day. We're async-first.

You'd research, build, and deploy the models that detect document fraud. Metadata tampering, visual forgeries, structural inconsistencies in PDFs. The models run in real-time and need to be fast and accurate.

Key Responsibilities:

You'd develop and train models for document verification, anomaly detection, and fraud classification. That means designing computer vision pipelines for document analysis, feature extraction, and forgery detection, then building the real-time inference services that run them at scale.

Research is part of the job. You'd read papers on document forensics and figure out what's actually usable in production (most of it isn't, but the stuff that works is gold). You'd also build training data pipelines, manage dataset curation, and set up evaluation frameworks to track model performance. You'd work with backend engineers to optimize model serving and reduce latency.

We publish when we have something worth sharing. You'd also mentor junior engineers and help decide where the team's research time goes. LLMs, vision transformers, multimodal models are all relevant to what we do.

Requirements:

3+ years of hands-on experience building and deploying ML models in production
Strong Python programming skills and fluency with PyTorch or TensorFlow
Experience with computer vision techniques (CNNs, vision transformers, object detection)
Understanding of MLOps practices: experiment tracking, model versioning, CI/CD for ML
Experience with model optimization, quantization, and efficient inference
Familiarity with cloud ML services (AWS SageMaker, GPU instances)
Knowledge of the PDF specification and document structure is a strong plus
